Last updated: 2026-05-09
Effective from: <DATE>
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User") and MeraMunshi (operating as LegalLink Pakistan) ("we", "us", "our") governing access to and use of the MeraMunshi web application, APIs, and related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Account creation
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to contract under the Contract Act, 1872 to register. You agree to provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and notify us of unauthorised access. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
2. Lawyer verification
Advocates and law firms listed on the Platform are subject to a verification process that may include CNIC, Pakistan Bar Council / Provincial Bar Council enrolment number, and supporting documents. We reserve the right to suspend or remove unverified, suspended, or disbarred practitioners. Listing on the Platform does not constitute endorsement, certification, or a guarantee of competence.
3. Fees and subscriptions
Subscription fees, plan inclusions, and any usage-based charges are published on the pricing page and may be revised with prior written notice. All fees are quoted in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless otherwise stated and are exclusive of applicable federal and provincial taxes (including sales tax on services), which are payable by the User.
4. Payment processing
Payments may be made through JazzCash, Easypaisa, scheduled bank transfer, or other licensed payment instruments processed by service providers regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Card and wallet payments are handled by third-party processors; you authorise those processors to charge your selected instrument. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
5. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has commenced. Pro-rata refunds may be granted at our discretion in cases of prolonged Platform unavailability or duplicate charges. Refund requests must be raised in writing within 30 days of the disputed charge.
6. Intellectual property
The Platform's source code (released under its open-source licence), trademarks, logos, and curated datasets remain the property of MeraMunshi or its licensors. Content you upload (case files, drafts, documents) remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Platform.
7. Prohibited use
You must not use the Platform to: (a) commit any offence under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA), the Pakistan Penal Code, or other applicable law; (b) upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates client privilege without authority; (c) attempt unauthorised access, scraping, or reverse engineering; (d) impersonate any advocate, judge, or court official; or (e) transmit malware. Violations may be reported to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing where required by law.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, non-payment, or where required by law or regulator order. Upon termination, the licences granted to you cease, and your data will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, the Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of data, or missed limitation periods. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Contract Act, 1872 and PECA, 2016 to the extent applicable.
11. Dispute resolution
The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith negotiation for thirty (30) days. Failing resolution, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts at Islamabad, Pakistan. The parties may alternatively agree in writing to refer the dispute to arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1940 with the seat at Islamabad.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to the address published on the Platform's contact page.
